Springtime for Paper Players #587
17 April 2022
Happy Sunday.
The fabulous Claire is hosting our challenge this week and it's a CAS theme challenge. Well..... errrr..... I had to quickly make another card for this challenge this afternoon as I had completely missed the CAS part of the challenge and created a card that was anything but! So, off to my craft room and it was a great excuse to pull out a new set that I purchased from The Greetery called Springtime.
Here's our challenge:
On a personal note:
Well, Lou and I have a moving date and we are rushing to try to get everything packed for the move or for charity. We are also trying to do some things around the house to get it ready for sale. We haven't attacked the garage yet..... that's something neither of us is looking forward to. I'm trying to hold off packing my craft room until next week as I want to make a couple of last design team cards before I pack everything up. I'd forgotten just how much there was to do when you are moving. It's going to be a few days short of our 10th anniversary when we make the move. I can still remember the intense excitement as we prepared to make the move to our "new" home. It's been a wonderful 10 years, but I must admit, I am ready to downsize and have more time to spend doing other things. We have found an apartment to rent and the great thing about it is that it is on the river, right next to the walking/biking path and it has mature trees in front of it, so we should still get some avian visitors. It's also less than 10 minutes to any of the shops that we will need to visit, across the road from restaurants and coffee shops. We have gotten used to the fact that it takes us generally 30-40 minutes to get to most of the shops and restaurants we want to go to in this house - and that means major highways. So, it's going to feel very different.
We will certainly miss the quiet of the wetland at night - some nights it's so quite you can hear your heart beat. We are blessed to have been able to enjoy it for as long as we have, but are looking forward to seeing who might visit us in the trees in the new apartment!
Hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight and continued prayers for the people of Ukraine
hugs

Jaydee, this is so perfect for my challenge! I love the little bunny under that pretty umbrella! Every time it rains, I say the tress and flowers are so happy! Love the sentiment! You rocked my challenge. I pray your move goes smoothly! It is such a huge undertaking to move. I have done it many times. Cherish all your wonderful memories. I certainly will miss all the photos from your yard. Warm hugs!

Oh, Jaydee, what a sweet card! The bunny and images are adorable, you've highlighted the stamps beautifully! I am happy that things are progressing well for your move. Hope it continues to go well!

Aww, your bunny is adorable! I like how you have the sentiment on a banner going right across the middle of the card--it's front and center, but doesn't distract from the cute bunny and his flowers. Best of luck on your upcoming move! I've been married for 18 years and we've moved I think 8 times?! I know how stressful it can be!

Well this sweet little bunny and her umbrella are just adorable Jaydee! So glad that the packing is progressing and you have found a lovely new apartment - new experiences await, you just need to get that garage packed up first!

Jaydee, Love this little bunny card!! So sweet!
Good luck with your house sale and move. I'll miss your wetland photos but hoping you will share photos of your new surroundings. Such an exciting time for you.

Jaydee, such a cute card. I have packed up my stamping room 3 times and the last time will be a total nightmare. We have lived in our home 15 years - the longest we have ever lived in the same house let alone in the same town. Best of luck with the move. I hope you get to stay in Gopher country!

I love your sweet card, Jaydee. I had to smile when I read you are moving near your 10th anniversary because on our 10th anniversary we moved from Cincinnati to Delaware and have been here for 40 years. Moving is an adventure and I wish you and Lou the very best in this new chapter. Enjoy your day!

Jaydee: Your card is so pretty . . . the bunny has to really make an effort to hold the umbrella -- ha!ha! Such a big change for you and Lou . . . I think about all the beautiful changes you have made in your present house and the presence of nature. Your visitors will miss you. You will have to create new acquaintances. I think about the Christmas nutcrackers you used to put at the entrance, but all these things are "material" and you can use the time you save to do wonderful things . . . life is so short!!! Wished I were there for the garage sale!! Good luck and keep on scrapbooking!!!!

So sweet, Jaydee! This little bunny is adorable, holding up her umbrella. The Greetery makes the cutest stamps. I love seeing what you do with them. Your move is going to be an exciting adventure. While it's definitely not what you are used to, the apartment sounds like it is in a wonderful location. Have an amazing week!
