She sells sea shells by the sea shore for Addicted to CAS #
06 August 2022
Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous Vicky's turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and this is her code word:
Now, I know that many of us have been feeling the tropical heat, even in places that aren't considered tropical! Luckily the last few days have been gorgeous here in my part of Minnesota. Warm and just a little bit humid, but not too humid. However, we are going back up into truly tropical temperatures in the coming days. Whenever I hear tropical, I think back to my first trip to Mauritius walking along the beach and seeing all the amazing shells that had turned up on the sea shore. So, I choose to use an old set from Stampers Journey for this card. I placed the shells on an old piece of textured SU card stock for a little extra texture. It's really unusual for me not to use white base, but the shells just got lost on the white. :-) Here's my car:
You can see I used an SU embossing folder to add a little more texture for the sentiment layer. I used some of my Verithin pencils to add a little extra dimension on the shells after fussy cutting them. I hope you will join us and play along with ou challenge this week. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you.
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Ah, so serene, love this card. I miss the ocean from my days in CA, but like being back here with family. Hope you and Lou are doing okay.

Hi Jaydee what a pretty card, I love the texture and those gorgeous shells, especially the starfish. The base colour is a perfect backdrop for these beaties.
