Wild Stems for AAA Cards #224
18 September 2022
Happy Sunday, again!
I got to spend a little time in my craft room today and am still making cards for Cards4Cubs. If you haven't heard about this organization you can check out all the details here. I made cards last year and am busying making more to send this year. Birthday cards are popular - so birthday cards I am making. It's always easier for me to make cards for young children than tweens or teens. If anyone knows of any decent stamp sets for this age group, please let me know in the comments - or send me an email.
I decided to keep it really clean and simple - and that was made easier with the challenge at AAA. Bright colors with the addition of dots! Here's a sneak peek:
Here is the challenge across at AAA:
I used the postal frames die from The Greetery and then stamped and die-cut the flower, stem and leaf from the Wild Stems set from The Stamp Market. I used my old SimonSaysStamp snowfall stencil to add the dots behind the flower and then adhered the elements to the base of the card. I popped up the flower with foam dots. I used the Sentiment Suite Birthday set from The Greetery for the sentiment and die-cut tag.
Clean and simple? check. bright colors, pink, turquoise, yellow and a deeper red? check. dots? check. I ended up really liking the single flower all alone on it's dotty base :-)
Oh... and Marina.... well spotted! I have indeed changed the layout for my blog. This is even more clean and simple than the last layout and I prefer the way it resizes for the different mobile devices :-)
I'll be back with another post tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope you check out the details for the Cards for Cubs. I am sure you have some cards lying around that could be put to good use :-) Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee, I was so excited that you remarked my comment. I do not have very many stamps, but I do know, I think, that there is an stamp called "Epic" of StampinUp that you could use for teens or tweens (baskets, earphones, guitar, etc. -- but I am sure you have it. Have a great week!
