Big Branches Mistletoe for Inspire Create #130
29 November 2022
Happy Tuesday
I have another card for you today. As I had a little time to spend in my craft room I went looking for some inspiration and found the perfect blank slate at Inspire:Create. I looked around on my desk at my new goodies that arrived and realized that the blank slate was the perfect sketch to use my new Big Branches Mistletoe from the new November release from The Greetery.
Here's a quick sneak peek:
I actually went with two background stamps for this one. I did the first layer with the Pine and Berry background stamp and then decided it needed just a little something more for texture, so I repeated one of the stamps from the Pretty Postmarks set. Of course, I had to add a little shimmer and shine with the new glitter paper that I got as a freebie from Michaels!
Anyway, here's the blank canvas sketch from Inspire Create.
Told you it was a blank slate!! I die-cut and then ink blended the leaves from the Mistletoe die. I stamped the background and die-cut it with the Postal Frames die and added some white splatters to the mistletoe. Once everything was red, I mounted everything onto my card base. I had to finish it off with a little now from the Figgy Pudding Die.
Here's my card:
I love the font from the Tagged Elegance stamp set - there's something really cool about it :-)
On a personal note:
Well, my last day of time off. I'm sitting watching the snow fall and it is wonderful being able to appreciate it and know that you don't have to shovel it :-) Yesterday the insinkerator broke and all we had to do was call the leasing company and it was replaced within the hour! I can say that Lou and I are appreciating living in an apartment right now :-)
My camera is charging so I had to use my phone to take a photo of the redbellied woodpecker eating from the suet feeder. You can just see the flakes falling around him.
It's cold enough that all the birds are a little fluffed up trying to keep warm. Luckily, we aren't scheduled to have that much snow today, so just enough to make it look pretty!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
