Round About Winter Foliage and Pine and Berry Background for Freshly Made #563

Peaceful Doves and Peaceful Olives for Paper Players #619

Happy Sunday.

Yeah.  a little dejavu today!  I actually made a different card the the Paper Players challenge this week and then changed my mind.  So, today it's a twofer:-)

Both feature the Peaceful Dove set but one is paired with Peaceful Olives and the other is paired with Winterberry Bouquet.  All from The Greetery.  Here's a sneak peek of one of them:

This is the one I had originally planned to use for the challenge, but changed my mind.  Before I show you both cards, how about I show you Laurie's fabulous sketch:

Such a versatile sketch and you can see that from the variety of cards created by the design team!  So, my first card used the Winterberry bouquet and the larger of the doves from Peaceful Doves, including the sentiment.

I put some stickles on the leaves to give a little shimmer and shine, but I just don't think it worked.  I don't know why, but there is something I just don't like about this card and I cannot put my finger on it!  So, in the end I made another card :-)

Here's the second card I made.  I pared it back and kept with a very simple color scheme and used the Peaceful Olives instead of the Winterberry Bouquet.

I like the soft, muted colors and the fact that the focus is on the dove.  I also like the smaller font.  Well, because of my indecision, you got to see two cards today - oh, and a little hint of some of our Christmas decorations :-)

As I said, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

It's been wonderful to have a few days off and I still have two more!  I have really enjoyed just putzing around.  One of the hardest things has been deciding how and where to decorate in the apartment.  I'm so used to decorating the house and having so many places to put things and so much more space, that I have had to really think about it this year.   must admit, I have missed not decorating the front porch.  But, that didn't stop us from putting out a couple of Christmas decorations on the balcony!  I promise I will share a couple of photos when we are finished!

I'm off back to my craft room to make some Christmas cards.  I will be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Jaydee, these are both so beautiful! Hard to pick a favorite. I do love the olive with all that red. The white, is very peaceful though. You always make the most gorgeous creations. I would love to see how you decorate your new home. You are so creative! Have a fabulous week, My Friend!

Jaydee, these are both so very pretty! Great job with the sketch! My fav is the one with the red berries, as I love anything with red. Have a great week!

Doves hold such a special place in my heart, Jaydee! Both cards are gorgeous and will delight the recipients. If I had to pick one, the second card would be the one. I love the clean and simple vibe that it gives off...

Laurie Schmidt

Beautiful cards Jaydee! Love them both!

Christy Stanford

Both cards are beautiful, Jaydee! I think I like the second one better too, it's a simpler design and like you said keeps the focus on the dove.

Jaydee I love both cards but I think I prefer the second one too, the curved arch of greenery and the muted colour scheme suits your dove and the peaceful sentiment perfectly. Looking forward to seeing the Christmas decorations!

Oh Jaydee, both of your cards are so beautiful! I love the bright pop of red on the first card and the second card is so calm and serene. I can't pick a favorite. Glad you are getting settled in to your new space and have fun getting your holiday decor set up. I know it will be beautiful and can't wait to see photos.
