Peaceful Olives and Peaceful Doves for Paper Players #618
20 November 2022
Happy Sunday
It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's clean and simple week! As I'm in the middle of making Christmas cards, it made sense to use this occasion to make another one :-) I used two sets from The Greetery - one called Peaceful Olives and the other Peaceful Doves. The Peaceful Olives set comes with stencils and stamps and a matching die. I didn't use all of the stencils. I just used the first one to add a little interest to the background. Here's a sneak peek:
I began with the little bit of stenciling on the base of the card and then stamped and die-cut the other elements. For the sentiment I used the Delicata ink for a little shimmer and shine. I thought the bronze color went really well with the other colors on the card. I love the sentiment on this set - the large, very clean PEACE and the smaller, pretty script of the "on earth".
Here's my card:
I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, winter has arrived in our neck of the woods. Luckily we don't live around the Buffalo area, where winter certainly arrived with a vengeance! Us? It might have snowed every day this week, but it was pretty little flakes and every day most of it melted away. It sure put me in the mood for Christmas though:-)
I don't know about the rest of you, but I am looking forward to a long weekend coming up this week. Although I am working on Monday and Tuesday, I am off work from Wednesday through to the following Tuesday. So, two short weeks coming up for me :-) I'll be back later in the week with some cards, in the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
