Christmas Selfies for Paper Players #620
04 December 2022
Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has such a fun challenge for us. As I don't have a lot of Santa's in my stamp collection, I didn't have a lot to choose from. However, I do love this set from MFT called Christmas Selfies, so I was happy to have an excuse to ink it up! In fact, I got a little carried away and made several cards with this set using different colors and different backgrounds and sent them off to SendaSmile4Kids. Here's a sneak peek:
I stamped and colored the image and then die-cut the photo frame from black cardstock and white heat embossed the sentiment. Of course, a winter themed card with Santa isn't complete without a little snow! I added a couple of pieces of cardstock behind the focal image to pop it from the base a little and the card was complete!
Here's my full card:
I hope you will join us and play along this week. We would love to see your Santa creations. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, I don't know what happened during the latter part of this last week, but time completely got away from me. Oh, yeah. Now I remember! I had to go back to work!!!! Man, I am craving retirement! Consequently, I didn't get to post any cards or get into my craft room to play and yesterday my spare time was spent doing some genealogy research. I did manage to finish up a little decorating though.
In the apartment, we really don't have many flat surfaces that we can decorate, so we have managed to find little spaces where we can create vignettes There is a little nook next to the fireplace that was wide enough to fit a small ikea system. So we had that delivered and it has provided little cubbies to hold books and spaces for me to add some season appropriate decor. We also found a super skinny table for the bedroom and that gave us enough space to add a small lamp and also some seasonal decor.
Here's the skinny table dressed for winter:
I found these three sartorially elegant deer at Kirklands and just love them!
Aren't they cute with their little glittery hooves :-)
This next photo is for Pammie as this is her chair :-)
It's a really peaceful little vignette to wake up to every morning! I'll share some more photos next week. I'll be back later in the week (hopefully). In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee
