Crafty Hands Paper Goods Pretty Postmarks for Paper Players #625

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week!  This sketch was the perfect one to use two of my new die-cuts called Paper Goods  and the other called Crafty Hands from MFT and an old favorite called Pretty Postmarks from The Greetery.  Oh, and I also added my very favorite - actually all time favorite - stencil called Knit Wits.  Also from the Greetery.  Here's a little sneak peek:

Here's Joanne's sketch:

What I love about this sketch is how versatile it is and you can see that in the DT cards1  So much fun inspiration for you this week.   I began by die-cutting and coloring each of the elements - the little envelope, the stamps and, of course, the hands.  I then die-cut the background layer with a die from the Greetery called Postal Frames and added the stencil from Knit Wits to that layer.  I added the elements with the hands and added a sentiment.  The perfect card for a crafty friend.

Here's my card:

I love the die-cuts from the Paper Goods set and how they make mini cards - just so a cute idea - especially when it's paired with a ginormous message - well, large for that particular die that is!!!  I had such fun making all of these elements and, sorry Mom, I know you always said blue and green should never be seen.... but there is something about these colors together that I love :-)

As I said, the design team have some fabulous inspiration and you can see that here:

On a personal note:

Well, we are in for another cold spell.  Luckily we missed this current round of heavy snow - but it still looks pretty outside from the last snowfalls we had!  I must admit, by the time we get to this point in winter, I am desperately looking forward to spring.  But, as we know in this part of the US, we are at more than 3 months away from that.  We can still get snow well into April!  However, it doesn't save us from the artic air - temps around -25F expected!!!!  I had hoped to get into my craft room today, but I got a message from a cousin I didn't know on Ancestry that sent me off down a genealogical rabbit hole.... so, no crafting for me :-)  Maybe I will get into my room tomorrow if I can tear myself out of the rabbit hole :-)

In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Jaydee, this is SUCH a fun card! I think "happy you day" might be my new favorite sentiment, too. Love how you featured the sketch this week, my friend!

Wow, Jaydee, I like what you did with this week's sketch! The colors are clear and bright - love the visual reference to 'happy mail' with the stamps and envelopes, even including a die-cut border that looks like a large stamp. Clever! Xoxo, Fran

What a cute card, Jaydee! This blue and this green should definitely be seen together. I love the bold sentiment and the hands! This would be such a fun card to receive!

I love how you pulled the elements of your design together Jaydee and the bold message peeking out of the envelope is so clever! I also like the bright blue and green tones - so fresh! Keep warm my friend!

Sweet card, Jaydee! I love how realistic it all looks and that little envelope holds such a fun message. Love the stamps too!

I just love your creative use of stamps and images on this pretty card, Jaydee! What a great idea to place the bold sentiment in the envelope. The added texture from the stencil is perfect.
