Well, I did manage to get into my craft room to do a little playing and I went looking for some inspiration. I found a wonderful moodboard featuring coffee across at Just Us Girls. When I first saw the moodboard I was very tempted to get out my old go to coffee set - Cozy Cup from The Greetery. BUT.... I remembered I had an even older set from Ellen Hutson called Latte Love and decided to ink it up and give it a little love. Here's a sneak peek:
You probably realized that grey is also part of the challenge :-) Here's the mood board from Just Us Girls.
You can see I was inspired by the coffe cup and the shades of grey, but I was also attracted by the fabric and the more farmhouse feel. To try to re-create that feel, I went with a new background stamp called XO background from MFT and stamped it applying more pressure in some areas than in others to give a more rustic feel. I also did the same when coloring the saucer of the coffee cup - generally I try to go for a very smooth coloring, but decided to try to add more texture by rough blending. Hopefully I captured the feel.
Here's my card:
I needed the ground the coffee cup, so reached for my favorite Knit Wits stencil from The Greetery, adding some blending for the top 2/3rds of the panel. To finish the card off, I added a wonderful heart rhinestone emellishment.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Your card has the same warm, cozy feeling that I tried to make in this, my first moodboard!!! The knit stencil creates the cozy part, and the XO pattern does too! Your color scheme is so akin to the mood as well! It is fun to see what people take away from photos...so glad you shared your creation with us this week at Just Us Girls!
