Box of Chocolates for Paper Players #629
26 February 2023
Happy Sunday
It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week. When I looked at the sketch I realized it was perfect for a new set of dies I got from MFT called Chocolate Box. I paired it with an MFT stamp called Xs and Os. I had such fun creating the chocolates to fill the box! Here's a sneak peek:
I went with a different sketch for me - square! I hardly every make square cards, so decided it was a good challenge for me! Here's our sketch for this week:
I began by die-cutting and coloring each of the elements. I stamped the Xs and Os onto a piece of cardstock and cut it to 4x4. I put all the pieces together for the chocolates and used some glitter pens to add a little shimmer and shine. The card was really easy to pull together. Here's my card:
I used a piece of very old card stock from Altenew for the base. And, of course, I just love the sentiment :-)
I hope you will join us and play along this week. We would love too see what you make with this sketch. As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you.
On a personal note:
Well, we had over 14 inches of snow this week. Oh, the joy of not have to shovel or blow it :-) We could just sit and watch it fall and marvel at how beautiful it was!!!
Lou and I are starting to make a dent in the packing. We are 16 boxes into our packing. Only one of which is from my craft room. I managed to pack one box of card stock. The rest is all still in it place. We will pack a few more boxes today and feel more than confident that we will be ready for our move. Or so we think:-)
I'm hoping tto get into my craft room to make some cards today. If I do, then I will share them with you later this week. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee

Such a rich card, in its shades of deep red and brown, Jaydee. The glitter pens add the perfect sparkle. The "xoxo" paper was the perfect choice! This is such a sweet card! I LOVED the sketch!

I love this box of chocolates, Jaydee! I'm old enough to remember the old Russell Stover heart-shaped boxes for Valentine's Day. You've captured them perfectly!
Xoxo, Fran

Gorgeous selection of chocolates here Jaydee - just had to pop in and appreciate them properly! Thank you for the inspiration and I'm off to see if I can find this set anywhere that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg in postage and duties! Hugs, Kate

Love this - perfect for the sketch Jaydee and who can resist a punny sentiment, especially where chocolate is concerned!! The background is great too - I love the tiny xo print and subtle embossed base. Fabulous!

Love chocolate and your card! I have a set with a die saying chocolate, but it is missing. Sigh. I hope your packing and move go well. Cyber hugs.
