Baby Face Bee Dies for Inkspirational #287

Happy Monday.

I got to play in my craft area and was inspired to make a card using my Baby Face Bee dies that I bought from The Greetery last month.  I'm making cards for nurses and families with babies in the NICU to send out.  What a wonderful excuse to make some cute baby cards.  Here's a sneak peek

Seriously, these dies are so darned cute!  The CAS challenge across at Inkispirational has a twist of either sunshine or rain - so the sentiment from the Greetery was just perfect for this challenge.  Of course, those of you who visit me often, will notice my all time favorite stencil Knit Wits makes an appearance again!

Here's the challenge from Inkspirational

I began by die cutting the bee with white cardstock and colored the pieces with my Copic markers.  I was originally going to cut the wings from vellum, but decided to use the white cardstock and color the wings and then add some glimmer and shine instead.   I taped off the edges of the card base and added some yellow hearts from the knit wit stencil.  I added the sentiment and popped up the bee so that the wings were higher than the body.  Easy peasy!

Here's my full card:

Isn't that face just the cutest? :-)

I'm off to spend a little time in my craft room and hopefully can find some inspiration from the current challenges.  If  can, I will be back later in the week with another card.   That's all dependent on whether I can tear myself away from the balcony where it is currently 67 degrees and sunny.  Yeah, I know it doesn't sound high to a lot of you... but.... after 130+ days where the temps have been way below 50 - 67 feels wonderful :-)  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.

Hugs

Jaydee
