Happy Friday.

It's time for another card making challenge at FestiveFriday this week.  Every two weeks our card making challenge releases a new INSPO list designed around a world holiday.  Our holiday this week is one that I think all of us can celebrate - National Eat What you Want Day!  You don't have to make a food inspired card for our challenge, all you need to be inspired by 3 of the inspiration words and include those on your project.

For my project, I was inspired to use a set of dies from The Greetery called Bake it Merry.  I made this card as a thank you for one of Lou's colleagues who sent us some fabulous home-baked cookies for Christmas!  This set was the perfect set to create a card to thank a baker :-)

Here's our INSPO list for this challenge.

I began by die-cutting all of the elements.  I used kraft cardstock for the cookie bases and colored cardstock of the elements.  I had some left-over "icing" pieces from when I initially tried out the dies.  So I was able to add the "icing hearts" into each of the elements individually.  I added some blended brown ink to the edges of the "cookies" for a little dimension.  I used some silver card stock for the cookie sheet and the cookie lifter.  I die-cut the rolling pin twice - one in red card stock and once in kraft.  I snipped off the ends of the red one and adhered them to the kraft one.   Last thing to do?  Add a little gel paste to the Christmas tree cookies and add some baubles to them with glitter pens. I had such fun creating this card and the recipient loved that we sent her a cookie inspired card to thank her!
