Cityscape Super Hero fun for Paper Players #637
23 April 2023
Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week.
Ann's sketch is such fun but, for some reason, it had me totally stumped! I made three different attempts at a card for this sketch and am still not happy with it. In the end I went with a card made using two old sets for Paper Rose Studio called Super Hero Fun and a die called Cityscapes. This card is going off to Send A Smile 4 Kids. Here's a sneak peek:
Once I had photographed the card and re-looked at the sketch, I realized that I had placed the flying Koala over the top of the circle in the sketch! But, it was well and truly stuck at that point and I couldn't remove it!
Here's Ann's sketch:
I stamped and die-cut the super hero animals and did some non-fussy coloring. I die-cut the cityscape from some black card stock and used a die-cut circle to create the half circle element. I also used a Tim Holtz ray stencil to add some super power rays behind the cityscape.
Here's my card:
I hope you will join us and play along with Ann's fun sketch. We can't wait to see what you create. The design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well.... spring has arrived, but disappeared again. Then came back and disappeared again. Then came back and disappeared again - and that was all in one day. Yesterday was a complete roller-coaster. Sunny one minute. Rain the next. Then snow arrived. Then the sun came out. It rained and it snowed again. Rinse and repeat! All the way through to last night. At one point Lou and I were sitting in the living room and I looked out of the windows and could hardly see anything as the snow was coming down so hard! All that on top of the 4 inches of snow we had last weekend!
I took a couple of photos of the snow from last weekend
I looked out of the window and saw the curved walkway and it looked so pretty so I had to take a closer shot
Today it has been cold, dull and slightly damp and in the mid-30s. I read that Duluth, in the northern part of Minnesota had nearly 140" of snow this year - I think that is because it feels as though it has been snowing for the last 12 months :-) It is going to get up to a seasonal 50ish degrees in the coming week, which will be a welcome change!
I am hoping to get into my crafting area to make some cards tomorrow. If I do, then I will be back in the week with some cards. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for all of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
