Stampin! with Jaydee

Happy Friday.

It's time to play with our INSPO list at FestiveFriday.  Festive Friday is a card and crafting challenge that runs over a two week period.  Every two weeks we publish a new list of words to help get your creative juices working :-)  Our challenges are based around a festivity or holiday and this week we are celebrating National Smile Day! 

The inspo list was the perfect excuse to bring out some newish goodies!  The Bee dies from the Baby Face collection from The Greetery.  I also inked up a new background stamp - Spring Meadow - also from The Greetery.   I paired it with a slimline die from My Favorite Things.

These dies are so much fun and this card will be winging its way to SendASmile4Kids!

Now, what is it that inspired this card?  Let's check out the INSPO list for this challenge:

I began by die-cutting and coloring the bee parts and then assembling them.  I stamped the background stamp onto Neenah Solar White card stock and then die cut it with the slimline frame die from My Favorite Things.  I also used the die to create a frame from black card stock.   It was really easy to put this card together.  All it needed was a base and a sentiment.  The sentment is also from The Greetery and is from the Baby Face sentiments set.   I adhered the bees to the card and popped up the wings with foam tape.

Aren't they the happiest little things? They just make me smile.  I have no idea why importing the photo of the card is making it go slightly out of focus.  I promise you the real photo isn't like that, but I don't seem to be able to fix it!

On a personal note:

Well, I am on vacation but haaven't gotten much play time yet.  I did get into my craft area but was only able to make a couple of cards to meet my upcoming challenge commitments.  I'm hoping that will change tomorrow and my supplies will get a little love!  I'll be back on Sunday with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
