Cozy Cup for Paper Players #642

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week.  I actually made two different cards with this sketch but decided to go with the Cozy Cup version for our challenge.   Cozy Cup was the first set that I ever saw from The Greetery and I absolutely fell in love with it.  Couple of years later aand I still love it!  For this challenge I paired it with a background stamp from My Favorite Things.  Here's a sneak peek:

And here is LeAnne's sketch:

I went with neutrals for my colors - browns and greys.  I stamped and die-cut the coffee, cup and spoon and then stamped the background stamp onto Neenah Solar White card stock.  I splattered some white, brown and black inks onto the base of the card and adhered the coffee bean strip, cup, spoon and leaves, and added the sentiment.  It was only when I went to load my card for the challenge that I noticed I had made the coffee bean strip too long!  Sorry, LeAnne.

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week.  We would love to see what you create with LeAnne's sketch.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you.

On a personal note:

Oh... the weather has been so glorious the last few days.  We have made use of our balconies and enjoyed getting a daily dose of Vitamin D.  We've gotten used to the sounds of the city and now it has just become background noise.  We love getting the sun on the east side of the apartment in the morning and then in the west side in the afternoon.  Charlie loves to sit on the windowsill in the bathroom in the afternoon.  He catches the warmth of the afternoon sun and watches the peeps at the pool beneath him.

Being so high we can see for miles on the east, west and south sides.  We had never realized quite how many trees are in the city until we lived this high up.  It looks like a carpet of green all the way around.  The only breaks are from the higher rise buildings in town.   Luckily there aren't many of them to break the view.

The apartment is starting to feel like home.  We just have to do a couple of small things and hang some art work and then it will start to feel as though we live here rather than camping :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with another post.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

I love your coffee bean background! The neutral shades are so cozy and this cup of coffee looks delicious! The sentiment is just perfect! This is the perfect set for this sketch! I love that Charlie is so happy in his new home. I sure would love to soak in that tub. I hope to have a soaking tub one day! ENJOY! Have a great week, My Friend!

I have loved every card you have made with this set, Jaydee, and this card is no exception. The bean background stamp works perfectly with it. The picture of Charlie really does show off the carpet of green trees. What an amazing view!

I love, love, LOVE this card, Jaydee! That stamp set is so fun and every time you share it and tonight it finally made it into my cart. Haha! The little coffee bean background is the perfect finishing detail. So happy that you and Lou are settling into the new apartment and it is feeling like home. Moving is so hard, but all worth it when a now home finally feels like home. Big hugs!
