Inked and Tiled for As You See It #299
30 May 2023
Happy Tuesday.
I got to play along with some challenges this weeked and it was wonderful creating cards just for the fun of it. I saw a challenge across at As You See It that is looking for multiple elements to be included on your card, so I had to put some thought into this one! That's the great thing about challenges... they challenge you :-)
I was inspired to ink up Inked and Tiled again. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite SU sets from the new catalog. Here's a sneak peek of Inked and Tiled in a symphony of blue :-)
Here's the challenge from As You See It .. you have to include a frame, flowers, a bow, a die-cut AND it has to be in shades of blue!
I used multiple stamps from the Inked and tiled set for the background and then using a very dark blue ink I overstamped the largest of the stamps over the top. For the frame element I creatted a mat in behind the focal image. The die-cut comes from the panel and also from the little sentiment tag. The bow is the piece of twine I colored using my Copic Markers. The flowers are my main element and the colors are all shades of blue :-)
Here's my card:
Such a change from pink :-) I really do love the versatility of this set and really enjoyed playing with shades of blue. I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
- Stamps: Inked and Tiled - Staampin' Up! Sentiment: Sentiment Suite Thinking of You - The Greetery
Love, love this...all that blue! What inks did you use, please tell us. TFS

This is so pretty, Jaydee! I like that set in blue much better than the colours used in the catalogue! I love the range of blues that you chose to use! Thanks for cooking up our recipe at As You See It Challenges!

Heather, thanks for the comment love and the great challenge. Yeah... I hadn't noticed the colors in the catalog.... these stamps do deserve stronger colors for sure!

And what a symphony is blue it is! Gorgeous - I didn't like the look of this set in the catalogue and that was mainly because of the colours because the images themselves are lovely - as you demonstrate so ably! Thanks for joining in with us at As You See It.

Wow! I love this card! I really like the background you created and then popped the main flowers with the strong blue! That sweet tag pulls it all together! Thanks for joining us at As You See It!
