Inked and Tiled for Just Us Girls, Less is More and Color Throwdown

Happy Saturday.

It's not often that I get to play along with challenges, never mind having an opportunity to be inspired by three challenges with one single card!  I used the colors across at Color Throwdown, the inspiration theme from Just us Girls and the idea of a single layer card from Less is More.   Oh!  And.  Even better!  I get to use a brand new set that I bought from SU called Inked & Tiled.  Here's a sneak peek:

Such a pretty color combo - I'm so glad that Color Throwdown inspired me.  Here are the challenge badges:

I really do love the silhouette images from the Inked and Tiled set from SU and the combo of kraft, grey and pink was a color combo I couldn't resist.  For my grey I used Graphite Grey from SU as it is such a soft color grey.

I used a stencil from The Greetery to create the background and used Catherine Pooler and Altenew inks for the blending.  The flower was stamped in Graphite Grey.   Such a easy card to put together!

I have no idea why my images are coming out slightly out of focus when I bring them into typepad these days!!!  BTW lots of great inspiration from the design team cards across at all 3 challenge sites!

On a personal note:

Well, I only have a couple more days of vacation.  Sigh!  It has been wonderful to switch off and not to log on or feel the need to be connected and attached to my laptop for 12 hours a day.  It's made me think even more carefully about retirement and the joy of having time to just do the things I want to do vs things that I'm told to do.  The idea of being on a single salary is scary, and it will mean that I can't buy as many stamping supplies :-) but.... the joy of being untethered and being able to play and do things for others because I want to is very tempting!  So, lot's more to think about over the next couple of days!   I really enjoyed getting into my crafting area today just to play, especially when I had new goodies to play with :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card and some photos.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
