Kindest Sentiments for Inkspirational #290
29 May 2023
Happy Monday.
I got to play in my craft room yesterday and was inspired by the bright moodboard across at Inkspirational. I was really inspired by the bright oranges and greens and I thought about some of the new DSP that I got from SU and decided it would be perfect paired with a large sentiment from the Kindest Sentiments set - also from SU. Here's a sneak peek:
I really loved the moodboard and it reminded me of a pair of trousers I made back in the day. Promise you won't laugh!!! On one leg the back of the leg was orange and the other leg was green - just these shades of orange and green I might dd. On the front side the colors were reversed. So green back, orange front. Orange front, green back. Yeah... see... I told you not to laugh! But, in my defense this was the late 60s early 70s :-)
Anyway, on to the mood board:
The top right image reminded me of my favorite stencil from The Greetery called Knit Wits. So, obviously, I had to pull that out:-) I also included a butterfly from the Jumbo Curiosity Summer Findings - also from The Gretery. The DSP and the sentiment are both from SU. I just love the bold sentiments in the Kindest Sentiments set.
Here's my card:
I had such fun making this card. The Inked Botanticals DSP is gorgeous and there were so many different patterns I could have used for this moodboard, but in the end I went with the checkered and the flowers. I added a mat of a dark grey/brown and matched the color for the sentiment. I adhered the body of the butterfly to the base and then popped up the wings with some foam dots.
I'll be back later with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugss
