Showered with Love for Paper Players #639
07 May 2023
Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week. It's also a perfect theme to describe our weather this week! It was also the perfect excuse to bring out an old set I got free with an English card making magazine years ago.
This is another card that will be going off to Send A Smile 4 Kids. Here's a sneak peek:
The images are absolutely adorable but, the set itself does make you realize what good quality photopolymer stamps feel like. I can never quite get a clean stamped edge, they are always just a little squishy. But... the images are adorable!
Here's Claire's challenge:
I stamped the image and then fussy cut each one of them. I die-cut a piece of Neenah Solar white with my mini slimline die and adhered the little duckies to it. I added the raindrops and the sentiment and then adhered it to the base. Of course, I had to give the two female ducks pink polka dot wellies. I mean, who wouldn't love a pair of pink polka dot wellies? Then, of course, I had to add a pink polka dot envelope!
Here's my card:
The sentiment comes from The Greetery Baby Face Sentiments set. I thought it was perfect for this challenge. I hope you will join us and play along this week. We would love to see what you create with Claire's theme.
As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, I am off for the next couple of weeks and am so looking forward to enjoying the spring weather. We honestly don't believe we will have any more snow and are watching the leaves finally pop on the trees. It's been really wet and rainy since yesterday evening, but we need the rain to help those leaves pop more! I'm hoping to get into my crafting space to make some cards, do some coloring, try to hang some pictures and do some finishing touches in the apartment and... get out and walk in this gorgeous spring weather.
I'll be back (hopefully) tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
