Koala for Paper Players #673
21 January 2024
Happy Sunday!
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has such a fun theme. Sadly, I didn't have a single stamp that quite fit the theme, so I had to think outside of the box a little! Mind you, it did give me the perfect excuse to ink up a stamp Lou bought me down in Australia years ago. Sadly, the company is no longer in business. The made fabulous local flora and fauna stamps - and today's stamp is a perfect example of how cute those images could be!
Here's a sneak peek:
I just love this image, it makes me smile! Now, here is Claire's CLEAN and SIMPLE theme!
I thought the little Koala dressing his house for winter was fun... I know it's fun for me:-)
Creating the card was easy. I stamped the image onto Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock and colored it with my Copic Markers. I added some snowdrops and then mounted the image onto a brick embossed background and added the sentiment.
Here's my full card:
I hope you will join us and play along with Claire's challenge. We would love to see what fun cards YOU come up with. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, we are somewhere off the coast of West Africa. We crossed the equator yesterday and they held a fun Neptune themed "crossing the line" party at the pool. I decided not to participate as I really didn't feel like getting wet :-). Mind you, it was the perfect weather for getting wet yesterday. It was hot, sunny and just gorgeous. We seem to be moving pretty slowly right now as we sloooooooowlllllllly make our way south. Our next stop is Namibia and I am so excited about seeing the desert again!
As I sit idlying away my days watching the sea from my balcony, Lou is freezing at home in temps as low as -40! Can't say I'm that sad to be missing it:-). I really did enjoy visiting Tenerife and, if you missed that post, you can read all about Tenerife on this post.
I'll be back later in the week, in the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
