Pressed Bouquet for Addicted to CAS #254

Happy Saturday and greetings from Chan May in Vietnam.

It's another Clean and Simple challenge across at Addicted to CAS and Toni is our hostess for this week.  Her code word was one of my favorites and inspired me to bring out one of my (very few) betterpress plates - Pressed Bouquet from Spellbinders.

Here's a sneak peek:

And here is Toni's code word for our challenge this week:

Considering I used an awful lot of florals to make the cards before I left on my world cruise - you can see how I would have been excited about this code word!  I began by pressing the plate onto watercolor paper with the ink.  I used watercolor paper rather than the cotton paper that comes with the initial Betterpress system as I really wanted to use my watercolors and needed something that I felt could take the water.  Also, to be honest, I have a lot of watercolor paper and the Betterpress cotton paper is expensive - so it was a more economical move, too!

I watercolored the image and then fussy cut around it.  I wanted a little texture on the base of the card and, instead of using my usual stencils, I pulled out a couple of dies from a Stampin' Up Christmas set.  The name escapes me, but I need to use these background dies more often when I get back :-)

Here's my card:

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week.  We would love to see what you create using Toni's code word.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
