Cheers to You for Festive Friday Challenge #00157

Happy Friday and greetings from Cape Town.  Yep... we are back here :-)

It's another INSPO challenge across at Festive Friday this week and we are celebrating all the wonderful bright colors and happy symbols of Cinco de Mayo.  For me, it was the perfect opportunity to bring out some old My Favorite Things dies and make up some delicious looking cocktails.  Oh.. yeah... and apologies that it's a slimline - but... seriously... for this card, it just had to be! :-)

Here's a sneak peek:

Our theme maybe Cinco de Mayo but, as always, you don't need to follow the theme.  All you need to do is incorporate 3 elements from our INSPO list into your creation.  Here's our INSPO list for this week:

For my card I die-cut three different drinks from the My Favorite Things dies and colored them with my Copic Markers.  I added some sparkle and shine to the cocktails with my Wink of Stella pen and added some white hitelights with my white gel pen.   I used a Stampin' Up! embossing folder to create the backdrop for the drinks to add some texture and interest.

Here's my card:

CINCOFFINSPO elements used:  Green, orange and dry embossing

I do love these dies and really love the bright colors of the cocktails.  Not that I drink cocktails, or red wine for that matter!  White wine is my drink of choice!  Give me a good glass of Burgundy, chardonnay or pinot grigio and I'm good to go.  However, three glasses of white wine would have been really boring on a card :-)

I do hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week.  We would love to see what YOU create from our INSPO list.  As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

I'll be back on Sunday with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Card elements:

  • Dies:  Longstem Barware, Garnish Die-namics - both from My Favorite Things

I just LOVE this! How fun are these drinks! I love the bright colors and your cool sketch! Now I think I want one! Well, it's only 8:15 am, so I guess I'd better wait a bit, LOL!
