Happy Tuesday and greetings from the Atlantic Ocean. Well, it's a cold, windy, wet and bumpy day on board QM2 today and after all the warm places we have visited, it's feeling a little more chill than it would normally. However, today's post covers places that were a lot warmer. After Australia we landed in Bitung in Indonesia. It was one of the few ports where I didn't disembark. Instead I stayed on board and just appreciated the sun and the silence. There is a huge difference between flying into Indonesia and sailing. The latter gives you the time to... Read more →
Happy Monday. Greetings from the Atlantic - again! I'm so far behind on my travel updates that it's hard to believe that I was in Sydney in late February! Lou and I flew over to Sydney after our trip to Perth. We spent a night visiting with L & S and then drove up to the Blue Mountains for a nice relaxing weekend at a wonderful little hotel. Happy Sunday and greetings from Southampton. It's another challenge across at The Paper Players this week and Joanne is our host. For the challenge I choose a CAS theme and that gave me the opportunity to break out a die set I bought from Alexandra Renke called Die Layered Flowered #6. Not an original name, but I guess it is descriptive :-) Here's a sneak peek: Oh... and here's our theme for this week: I die-cut my flower and... Read more →
Happy Sunday and greetings from a foggy Atlantic Ocean! It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. For my card I decided to use some butterflies from the Pinkfresh Studio Small Butterflies die. I had such fun making this card. Here's a sneak peek: Here are Claire's color challenge: With these colors I couldn't help but go with a rainbow card:-). I stamped four of the butterflies with versamark and heat set them with white embossing powder. I then used the matching die-cuts. I just love these butterflies and even though... Read more →
