Laughing Animals for Paper Players #690

Happy Sunday

It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has such a fun Clean and Simple Theme for us.  Oh... and this week I managed to remember that it was Clean and Simple!!!

Anne Marie's theme was a great excuse for me to pull out one of my old favorites from Paper Rose Studios called Laughing Animals.  Here's a sneak peek:

And here's Anne Marie's theme:

I have lots of crafting supplies but I really don't have a lot that are in the funny category, so this old set tends to be my standby set.  Mind you, I do love it!

Creating this card was really easy.  I stamped, colored and die-cut the animals and used an old stencil to create a background for them.  I did a little ink blending along the bottom of the card and added the individual sentiments.  Easy peasy!

Here's my full card:

I swear the look on that giraffe's face just kills me!  I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge - we would love to see your LOL cards!  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Well, I am way behind on the promised orangutan post and the only excuse I have is that I have been spring cleaning like crazy since I got home.  I've also made over 100 cards for a local transplant home and, of course, taking care of the TTW that has invaded our house.  TTW = total time waster!  Mine that is.  I'd forgotten how much fun it is to have a kitten around the house.  Man.... ALL of that energy!  He's a complete goof-ball and we love him dearly.  I love watching him twitching his ears and watching his ear tassels wiggle.  Yeah.  I know... Small things amusing small minds and all of that :-)   I was beavering away making cards at my crafting desk when I felt this tug on my knee.  Chilli had left the comfort of his chair and moved onto the stool that I use as a foot rest and was patting my knee wanting attention!  So, seriously, who wouldn't get tempted to watch THIS all day!

And, on that note, I have a kitten trying to walk all over my laptop trying to get my attention so I should do my civic duty and go pay him some attention!  I'll be back later in the week - I promise!  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.

I know you are super busy since you got home. SO many things to catch up on! Your card is so funny and perfect for the challenge. Love these party animals! Have the best week!

That little cutie is just as sweet and funny as the animals on your card! I loved seeing all of them!

Joanne James - The Crafty Owl

Those partying animals are so fun Jaydee - I love the expression on the zebra's face! The subtle stencilling behind is a great way to add a little interest while still preserving the CAS feel. As for Chilli - who could resist that pleading face?!

Ann Schach

First of all, Chilli is absolutely stunning, Jaydee! I know I would never get a thing done if he lived with me. I would be way too busy petting and playing with him. Your card is a hoot. The expressions on these critters' faces are hilarious. What a day brightener this card will be for the recipient!
