Amazing Things for Paper Players #692

Happy Sunday.

It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week.  It was the perfect excuse to ink up a set from Pinkfresh Studio called Amazing Things.  Here's a sneak peek:

And here's the theme for our challenge this week:

I inked up the stamp with versamark and then used white embossing powder.  I love the way the flower pops, but I really should have used green embossing powder for the stem.  Too late!  :-)   I needed to make the flower pop from the background so blended blue ink and then added a few splatters for a little added texture.   I die-cut and mounted the florals and added the friendship sentiment.

Here's my card:

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge.  We'd love to see what you create for YOUR friends.  As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration:

On a personal note:

Continuing with the spring cleaning, the last thing I have to do is my craft stuff.  I wonder why I left that till last :-)  Right now I am updating my catalog of stamps and dies as I really like to keep a visual record of what I have so that I don't have to try to remember what stamps I have, especially when I am participating in a challenge.  I've reviewed all sorts of things like Color my Life, Evernote, etc. and none of those quite work for me.  So I've decided to continue with my own set up.  It's going to take me the rest of the day to sort that out!  Mind you, doing this does reintroduce me to some stamps I had forgotten about!

Little Chilli continues to eat us out of house and home.  He's settled in really well and the other cats have taken to him really quickly.  Charlie continues to tolerate him but Smudgie and Chilli play and have even been caught grooming each other, which is exactly what we were hoping for.

He really loves the climbers and can we talk about those ear tassels! They are growing so long that they are now starting to flop over at the top and I love watching them shimmer and shake when he's playing!

I'll be back later in the week with a card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
