Happy Sunday. It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. I had fun playing with a slightly muted version of the colors and created an I miss you card. I used a set of dies from Alexandra Renka called London Mini's and it highlights all the iconic images that the name London conjours up. Here's a sneak peek: I mean, what says England more than a red telephone box and a teapot!!! Here's our challenge for this week: I die cut the individual pieces from watercolor paper and added some watercolor to them.... Read more →

Happy Saturday. Oh... I got to make another kiddies card for Ronald McDonald today. I saw this challenge across at Time Out and couldn't help but bring out my Birthday Monsters dies again. This time I paired it with a background stamp from Stampin' Up! called It's in the Stars. Here's a sneak peek: I didn't think I would get half as much fun out of these dies as I have and I think they are just perfect for Ronald McDonald House. As I am still making cards for Ronald McDonald, I thought this set would make a great card for them. Here's a sneak peek: Here's the challenge: I stamped all the images... Read more →

Happy Tuesday. One of the things about working full time was that I really didn't get much time to indulge in my hobbies. Now that I am retired, and on a temporary stay from travelling, I'm hoping to get the chance to rectify that problem! I haven't had the time to play along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketches team for a long time, but I am hoping to change that. I started with their sketch this week and it inspired me to ink up a set from Pinkfresh Studio called Cosmos Bunch. Here's a sneak peek: And here's the sketch... Read more →

Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week. The theme was perfect for a set of cards I was making for one of our local medical institutions that was holding a card drive. I used a card kit from Spellbinders called Sweet & Cool. I bought it on sale and noticed that they still have some in stock! Here's a sneak peek of my card: And here's Claire's theme: I mean... what says summer time fun more than flip flops, surf boards, a bright beach hut, and a floatie... Read more →
