Pear Leaf and Nature's Sweetness for Freshly Made Sketches #644
14 July 2024
Happy Sunday - again :-)
I saw this great sketch across at Freshly Made Sketches and couldn't wait to bring out some of my favorite all time Stampin' Up! DSP called Nature's Sweetness. This paper is absolutely gorgeous and I thought this sketch would really help to showcase it.
Here's a sneak peek:
Oh, such glorious papers! I paired it with a leaf set called Pear Leaf (see what I did there?) :-) from Alexandra Renke and that leaf deserves some photos all of it's own. But, before we get to that - here's the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
So, let's take a closeup look at the leaf.I die cut the two parts of the leaf. One from watercolor paper and the other from gold cardstock. I used several different colors of water color, including metallic colors, to create the depth of color on the leaf.
I then finished it off with some splatters of gold and rust watercolor paints. It has orange, burnt umber, raw umber, rust, burgundy, metallic deep gold, metallic light gold, mango all mixed and dipped separately. I thought this gorgeous DSP needed a gorgeous leaf to go with it. I added the skeleton part of the leaf die-cut in gold on top.
Oh, and here's my card!
I know the team across at Freshly Made would love it if you played along. I'll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
