Inked & Tiled for Paper Players #709

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a fun tic tac toe board for us.  I was inspired to use a set from Stampin' Up! called Inked and Tiled.  Here's a sneak peek:

And here's Claire's tic tac toe board.

I went straight down the left hand side.  Leaves, Orange and Monochromatic.   I really do love this Inked and Tiled set and decided to really embrace the orange and go with Cajun.  It's the perfect color for fall.  I added two different Cajun DSPs for the focal point and stamped the leaves from Inked and Tiled with Cajun ink.

Here's my card:

As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Well, we still haven't moved!  We ran into a couple of problems and that caused us to change the move date.  We then ran up against the end of the month and the mover's were booked solid, so we have had to push the move date out to October 7.  It's almost a month later than we had originally anticipated.  Mind you, as we are moving from an apartment to a house that has much more space, it has given us chance to do things around the house like change out the flooring on the main floor and the change the carpet on the upper floor.  We also have new appliances coming in this week and have managed to get 3 rooms repainted.  We've also managed to put up my new crafting desk.... OH YEAH!!!!  I haven't changed my crafting desk in 14 years and I really wanted something different.  My new craft room (really the 3rd bedroom) has lots of southern light and my new desk is positioned right up against the window to give lots of light.  Some of our new furniture for the living room and the sun room has arrived and we have one of the cat climbers up in the sun room.  The furniture makes it feel like a house, but the cat climber makes it feel like home :-)

We will miss being so high up, but I'll give all that up for the chance to see the critters that frequent the back yard!  Mind you, we were blessed with the most amazing sunset and sunrise the next morning.  Man.... that sun was the biggest, most orange ball, I have ever seen in my life!

In the evening the aparment was baked with orange - and this was the view of the setting sun through the bedroom window:

Just a few minutes later, the sun looked like a cross between an orange and a pomegranate!  And I promise you this is EXACTLY the colors.

Then, I got up reasonably early the next morning and THIS happened - and YES... it really was like a tomato and absolutely this color

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.  But, she can also be so frightening.  My heart is heavy for all those affected by Helene and the scenes of devastation are heart breaking.  I hope all of you and your families are safe.

I'll be back next week with my Paper Player's card.   The rest of this week will be packing and getting things ready.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
