Parisian Parcels for Festive Friday #172

Happy Friday.

It's another great INSPO challenge across at Festive Friday this week and I had such fun creating this card.  I went clean and simple using a set of dies from Alexandra Renke called Parisian Parcels.

I utilized some metallic watercolors in colors that met the requrements of the INSPO list.  Here's a sneak peek:

Oh.. and here is our challenge theme for this week - Black Friday.  As always, you don't have to follow the theme.  You just need to utilize at least 3 of the items from our INSPO list into your project.

Here's our INSPO list:

For my card I began by die-cutting the parcels.  I then took out my Fintech metallic watercolors in both brown and neutral colors.  I added a little paint to each one and then left them to dry. The great thing is that they naturally dry with a little lift on both edges.  That allowed me to secure the elements with a little bit of glue and still leave them with an area where they are lifted from the base.

I needed to add some texture.  Some of it came from the ink splatters, but I also used my scoring tool to add some scores behind the elements.  It's pretty hard to see, but it is there :-). I love the little bit of shimmer and shine from the metallic watercolor paints.  Here's my card:

I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.  As always the design team have some fabulous inspirtion for you:
