Cheers for Sunday Stamps #352

Happy Tuesday

And welcome to a Minnesota where the temps are in the plus 40s - instead of the minus late 30s they were last week!  Well, the weather might be confused, but I loved the sketch across at Sunday Stamps this week and had a set that I got as part of a class to use for the challenge.  The set is called Cheers and is from Pinkfresh Studios.

Here's a sneak peek:

The sketch also gave me the opportunity to pull out some DSP that has been sitting in my stash for ages!   Oh - and here's the sketch:

I began by cutting out the circle using the Crimped Circle dies from The Greetery.  I then stamped, colored and die-cut the images from the Cheers set.  I found two pieces of DSP that worked together, cut banner ends and adhered them to the card base.  I popped up all the elements and added a heat set sentiment that I heat set with some fun glitter embossing powder.   As you can see, I am still trying to work out the lighting in my craft room!!!  Anyway, here's my card:

If you are wondering about the background.  It's from a hot foil plate called Heart Grid from Pinkfresh Studio.  Instead of hot foiling I used it as an embossing plate.  That way I got the texture without the hotfoil to detract from the focal image.   I colored the images with the matching stencils from the Cheers set.  Easy peasy!

I know the design team at Sunday Stamps would love you to play along.  I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
