Stampin! with Jaydee

Happy Sunday.

It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's Clean and Simple - with a twist - week.  I have some new stencils that I bought at scrapbook.com as part of my Christmas presents and this theme was a great excuse to ink them up!  I used the LDRS Hugs and Kisses Postage Collage Layering Stencils for my card and used them with a die from Alexandra Renke that you have seen me use multiple times.

To keep the card looking somewhat clean and simple, I kept the colors to a minimum.  Pink and turquoise with little touches of grey.  I love that each of the elements has heart shapes on them.  I added a sentiment with silver embossing powder.

On a personal note:

Well.... I am having trouble getting the right set up for taking photos.  With the winter sun my craft room is drenched in sun and causes major shadows.  So, I apologize for the fact that the cards look cream/off-white when they are really on white card stock.  I'm hoping to get the chance to play around with different ideas for better photography later this week.

Whilst we were packing to move, I found some crafting supplies that I had and haven't used.  So, I thought that I should start the new year with a few give-away opportunities.

Today's blog candy is a fabulous little set from Alexandra Renke called JUST FOR YOU.  I've used this sentiment set often on my cards and love the size of the sentiments.  Some of them are perfect for those tight little spaces.  As I have an extra one, this is the blog candy for this week.
