Tea For Two for CAS Colors and Sketches #554
25 February 2025
Happy Tuesday.
Greetings for a very warm (for the season) Minnesota. I got to play along with a challenge from CAS Colors and Sketches today. Their great sketch got me itching to get back to my Clean and Simple roots and use a set that hasn't seen any ink yet. Despite the fact that I bought it 18 months ago! It's a set called Tea for Two from Alexandra Renke.
Here's a sneak peek:
Pink and green - perfect for Spring!
Here's the sketch:
I began by die-cutting a circle and then stamping the berries onto the circle with just part of a berry on the base. I then stamped and fussy cut the tea bag and the teapot. I colored the tea pot with Copic markers making sure to leave streaks as I wanted to give the feel of a reflective and not perfect paint finish on my tea pot. I popped the tea bag up from the teapot with a small foam strip.
I then stamped the Tea For 2 stamps onto the first circle and then the main sentiment. I die cut a stitched edge frame around the focal image and mounted it to a card base.
Here's my card:
This set was crying out for a really clean and simple layout and this was perfect. I know the team across at CAS Colors and Sketches would love you to play along.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
