Magnificent Magnolia for Time Out #283

Happy Saturday.

I have another card for you today using the Magnificent Magnolia stamp, die and pressplate set from Pinkfresh Studios.  I just love this floral.  The last one I made was pink, but for this one I wanted to go with a much cooler shades of white with a touch of yellow instead.

I was inspired to create this card but the challenge across at Time Out.  Here's a sneak peek of my card:

And here's the challenge from Time Out for the 11th birthday!

I was inspired by the florals, texture on one half and the way the card was split into two.  I did change it to the vertical though.

I began by adding platinum foil to my pressplate and then using the matching stencils to add color.  I went with soft greys for shadow and just a touch of yellow in places for the flowers.

For the leaves I used two different greens and a touch of turquoise blue and yellow for added interest.   For the background I used my Simon Says Stamp scalloped border die and then used my brick stencil to add the detail.  I added a small sentiment as I didn't want it to detract from that gorgeous floral.

Here's my card:

I know the design team across at Time Out would love you to play along - and happy challenge birthday to the team!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
