Waffle Flower Open Book Floral for Cupcake Inspirations #614

Happy Tuesday.

I saw a great challenge across at Cupcake Inspirations today and decided I was going to play along.  I mean... when you see the prompt for the challenge, you will know why I just couldn't resist it!

I used the Waffle Flower Open Book die set again.  I really think this is one of the freshest dies around.  I paired it with the Open Book Floral Stencil which I used with very pale pinks, blues and greens.  I paired it with the Waffle Flower Script Texture stamp set.

Well, there are several things I do for relaxation, but I decided to settle on reading a book.  And what's better than reading a book in a comfy chair and drinking a cup of coffee?  Maybe the addition of a brownie? :-)
 
I stenciled the images onto white cardstock and then used the die to cut out the open book.  I stenciled and die-cut a second layer as I wanted to add two more pages to my book.
 
I stamped the script sentiment onto a white card base and then adhered the outline of the book onto the base.  I glued the middle spine of the book pages onto the card base but popped up the bottom pages on foam strips.
 
I added a bookmark, which was made from the small quill die that is included in the Open Book set.  I die cut that in silver metallic cardstock amd added sme thread to the back of it and tucked it behind my pages.  Just as I would if I was actually reading.
 
I used the sentiment from the Simple Book sentiment die for the left hand page and the scripty die that comes with the Open Book die for the right side and also the two pages underneath.
