Wildflower Bouquet for Paper Players #731

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's tic-tac-toe week!  I had a lot of fun playing with the Wildflower Bouquet set from Pinkfresh Studio again.  I just love these florals and when I saw the tic-tac-toe board I knew it HAD to be THAT set that I used - again!

Here's a sneak peek:

I also used a coverplate die from Pinkfresh Studio called Ornate Medallions.   Here's LeAnne's tic-tac-toe board:

For my card I went straight down the left hand column: Flowers, Diecut and Lavender.

I began by die cutting the background and then layering a piece of lavender cardstock to the card base.  I layered the coverplate layer over the top of that and love the way the lavender peeks out.

I then stamped and watercolored the Wildflower Bouquet images and created a white frame for them.  I didn't want the pattern from the background directly under the florals, so added a white panel.  All that was left to do was to add the sentiment and secure the florals.

Here's my card:

I hope you will join us and play along with LeAnne's tic-tac-toe board.  We'd love to see what you create.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

OK... enough already.  It was 82 degrees on Friday.  82 degrees in Minnesota.  It was warmer here than it was in Orlando, Florida!   So, it was time to go surfing the net for outdoor furniture.

Well..... it is spring in Minnesota.  Today it's 40 and raining!  So, I surfed for crafting goodies and forgot about outdoor furniture for a little while :-)

The birds have been visiting the new feeders that we put out.  It's been wonderful to watch the nuthatches, chickadees and downy woodpeckers at the feeders.  We expect others will start to visit it now.  We have Song Sparrows, Cardinals, and the newly returned Redwinged Blackbirds.  We've also had a couple of Robins in the garden.  However the Junco's are still here - which means the cold weather isn't fully over.  We expect that this last batch of Junco's are the last lot to come through as they finish their migration north.

The cats are loving the sunroom.  They sit there from the minute they are allowed out in the morning until as late as they can at night.

It was fun watching two of them watching the rabbit.  The rabbit couldn't care less that they were there.  He knew full well that they couldn't get to him.

Here's a look at one of our little Eastern Cottontail Rabbits:

He made a little nest for himself under the deck - you can see the hole just behind him.  He has a few friends, but they don't seem to be living with him :-)

Smudgie and Chilli were watching him very closely - except I think Smudgie was watching another cottontail across the garden:

I wish I could have gotten a better shot for this next photo.  There was a female deer in the garden and she was staring at Smudgie.  The next thing we knew, she had come and put her nose up at the window and was literally head to head with Smudgie through the window.  All I managed to catch was both of their backsides and the reflection of the house lights in the window!

Well, that's all for tonight.  I'll be back during the week with more cards.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
