Stampin! with Jaydee

Happy Friday.

It's a rare day that I get to create a card for two challenges!  Today I was checking out Cardsfordays challenge list site and was inspired by the Colors at TGIF and the choice of 3 from Just Add Ink.  I mean, whenever have I walked away from a challenge that asks you to use die cuts and flowers :-)!  For the challenge I brought out one of the sets that I got as part of my Jennifer McGuire Crafty box called Daisy Blossom and it's from Memory Box.  It's another set that I wouldn't have bought, but am so glad that it was included in the crafty box!

Here's a sneak peek - and before y'all faint... I'm warning you..... no white on the front of this card!  I think the aliens must have been and beamed me up last night :-)

I loved the idea of the pink, green and black and thought that the pink and green would really pop against a black background - and they really do.  Problem is..... once I had the card assembled I didn't know what to do with the sentiment!  Pink and green would not have shown up.  White would have been too jarring, so I went with a soft gold and added a soft gold hand drawn border in a soft gold, too.

 

I die-cut the flowers and used my inks to blend the colors.  Once they were dry, I adhered them to the card front and the card was complete.

In real life the black is really dark black and the green and pink pop off the color beautifully.  The design teams at both challenges have some fabulous inspiration for you and I know they would love it if you played along :-)
