Happy Friday - and Happy New Year! I have a card for you tonight featuring a set from the Greetery called Pinwheel Party. This is one of my go to sets for birthday cards these days. I love how versatile it is. I used the stencils to create the pinwheels and then the matching die-cuts to cut them out. Here's the sketch from Freshly Made that inspired the card: When I saw the three circles I immediately thought of Pinwheel Party. As I have been making cards to send to seniors and Send a Smile for Kids - I decided... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's the fabulous Barb's turn to host our AddictedtoCAS Challenge this week and it's one of my favorites :-) I love one layer cards as they are always a challenge. This time I decided to go with a monochromatic approach of various shades of grey and featuring one of my all time favorite flowers - Good Morning Magnolia from Stampin' Up! Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week - and it's theme week. I really wanted to use a quote that is in the Casual Fridays Big Treble set. Hi Everyone. It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a color challenge for us: I started with a Smoky Slate base and stamped flowers from Altenew's Sweetest Peas with the darkest grey. I then colored the flowers with a few different pink pencils that are as close to Melon Mambo as I could get. I added the slightest touch of yellow to the base of the flowers, but the photographs are showing much more yellow/orange than there really is! Here's my card: I hope you will join us and play along.... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. Popping in with a quick post today. I did manage to spend a little time in my craft room yesterday and played along with this great sketch at FreshlyMade As the vertical element was going to be popped off the page, I didn't want to add more bulk to the card by adding an embossed or speciality paper for the middle element. I decided to use a stencil to create a pattern for that area instead. I then used my Ellen Hutson stitched dies to add a stitched detail above and below the stenciling. Here's a... Read more →
