Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week. For my card I used a new to me set called Just My Type from Stampin' Up! I also paired it with some DSP called Delightfully Eclectic. Here's a sneak peek of my card: The sketch forced me to use more layers than I normally would so it was the perfect excuse to use some of the DSP that I never seem to use enough of :-) I used the colors in the DSP to help determine the colors to use... Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Player's challenge this week and it's color week. I used a set that you have seen me use a couple of times already - Inked and Tiled. Here's a sneak peek: I didn't have the exact colors and the Lost Lagoon was hard for me to replicate, but I went with the closest I could find. In the photograph the color is much lighter than the card is in real life, it is slightly greener and richer. Here's Anne Marie's color challengge: I taped off the borders of... Read more →

Happy Friday. Again! I had the afternoon off today and decided to play in my craft room just for the fun on it. I went looking for some new challenges and went along to challengesfordays.blogspot.com to see what they had listed. I found TGIF had a sketch that I liked so decided to play along with that. I was inspired to ink up another set I haven't used very much. It's a set called Lemon Blossom from The Greetery. I went with bright citrusy colors - most unlike me! Here's a sneak peek: Bright greens and yellows. I cannot remember... Read more →

Happy Easter! This is my second post today. You can find my Paper Players card here. Today has been one of the very few days in months that I got to play in my craft room just for the fun of it. It's a beautiful sunny day and I was inspired by the unique sketch across at Freshly Made Sketches. I have a die that I bought a couple of months ago from The Greetery called Morning Glory and it is part of their Botanicuts family. I used a stencil - also from The Greetery to create the four boxes... Read more →

Happy Sunday It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week! Joanne chose colors that I don't use often - although..... I have certainly made multiple cards using these shades in the last two weeks! I think I must be really craving spring :-) I was REALLY tempted to go with flowers, but decided to ink up a die I bought a couple of months ago on sale at My Favorite Things. Here's a sneak peek of my non-floral card: I think some of you might remember the old rotary phones :-)... Read more →
