Happy Friday. Yesterday I needed a break from genealogy research and I could hear my crafting goodies calling my name! As I am not crafting much these days I needed some inspiration and I found it across at Atlantic Hearts for their sketch and The Card Concept for the colors. The sketch at Atlantic Hearts inspired me to use my favorite new die-cut from The Greetery called Round About Winter. You can see the last card I made with this set here. It's very different to today's card! Here are the sketch and inspiration challenges: I love this sketch and... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge today and it's theme week: I decided to keep this clean and simple and allow the Free As a Bird image to be the undisputed focal point of the card. I then set about coloring them with my new pencils. I was really pleased... Read more →

Hi Everyone. It's the fabulous Nance's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great sketch for us: I had so many ideas going around in my head for this sketch, but finally settled on my new Enchanted Iris set from Altenew. I love this set and it's a joy to color. For the vertical side panel, I used my brick stencil to make it feel as though the iris was growing in front of the wall. I needed a thank you card for another colleague who has been a complete brick (excuse the pun!)... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. I am pleased to say that my Mac is back, all reconfigured and re-built and back in action - just in time for my Paper Players post! It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge tonight and she has a word challenge for us: I was tempted to go with a fall color scheme, but decided to buck the trend - and go with more summer colors. Is that because I am trying to hold on to summer? :-) I stamped some of the Watercolor Wonders flowers onto a piece of Neenah Solar... Read more →
